Nestled 8 kilometres from Tiruppathur, adjacent to Karaikudi, lies the quaint village of Pillayarpatti, a distant haven of serenity. Upon traversing its enchanting gateway, one is greeted by the majestic sight of a north-facing tower adorning the distant skyline, while a rustic shed, adorned with swaying coconut palms, stands sentinel. Before the beholder unfolds the resplendent Thirukkulam, known in reverence as the Oruni, its grandeur rivalling that of legends.
Here, amidst this sacred realm, where time seems to stand still, one encounters bustling flower shops adorned with offerings of Arugambul malas, Aluyura sambangi malas, and the fragrant blooms of Madurai mallis, their vibrant hues a testament to devotion.
